BARC Scientist Recruitment 2025–26: Apply Online for Scientific Officer Posts (OCES / DGFS)

The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has officially announced the BARC Scientist Recruitment 2025–26 for Scientific Officer positions through its prestigious OCES-2026 and DGFS-2026 training programmes. This recruitment is conducted under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, and is considered one of the most respected career entry routes for engineers and science postgraduates in the country.

What is BARC OCES / DGFS Recruitment?

BARC recruits Scientific Officers through two elite training schemes:

  • OCES-2026 (Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates & Science Postgraduates)
    A 1-year intensive training programme conducted at BARC Training Schools.
  • DGFS-2026 (DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme)
    A 2-year M.Tech fellowship programme at premier institutes, sponsored by DAE, followed by appointment as Scientific Officer.

Selection Process – BARC Scientist 2025–26

Stage 1: Screening

Candidates are shortlisted for interview through either or both of the following:

  • Online Screening Examination
  • Valid GATE Score (2024 / 2025 / 2026)

Stage 2: Selection Interview

  • Conducted at BARC Mumbai (Geology/Geophysics at Hyderabad)
  • Final selection is based only on interview performance
  • Medical fitness is mandatory

Outstation candidates receive AC-III tier fare reimbursement.
